Data Architect (Data Intelligence department)Rotterdam | 38,75Salary range gross per month: EUR 4300 – 6200 (excluded a flexible salary component)

This is an exceptional opportunity to build and influence the data landscape of our organization! This is a hybrid role, combining both virtually and from the Rotterdam office.

What you will doAs the Data Architect, you will lead the design and implementation of our new cloud data warehouse, integrating global and regional environments. Your main focus will be on creating robust data architectures and implementing effective governance strategies, with a particular emphasis on Azure cloud solutions, Databricks to drive digital transformation.

  • Architect and Develop: Conceptualize, design, implement, and develop a comprehensive warehouse architecture.

  • Roadmap Creation: Create a roadmap aligned with business and tech strategy to ensure coherent progress and integration.

  • Governance: Implement data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with industry standards.

  • Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to the data engineering team in implementing architectural designs.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient data solutions. Work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for data integration, migration, and optimization.

  • Innovation: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement in data architecture strategies and best practices.

  • Migration: Lead the migration of databases from Snowflake to Databricks.

    This is who you are

    You have a extensive experience (minimum of 5 years) in data architecture, with a focus on cloud-based solutions. Proficiency in Databricks and Azure platforms and experience with data modeling techniques. Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices.

    Furthermore:

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Proven experience in leading and influencing cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.

  • Experience working in a global environment with diverse people and data requirements.

  • Proficiency in database technologies such as SQL. Familiarity with cloud-native databases, data warehouses, and big data technologies.

  • Proven experience with ETL and ELT processes using Databricks, Microsoft Data Platform and DBT.

  • Experience with crafting a data integration architecture that seamlessly combines information from diverse sources and formats.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly tackle complex technical challenges.

  • Continuous Learning: A passion for continuous self-development and staying abreast of the latest developments in the Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Cloud ecosystem.
