Job TitlePurchasing Manager

Duties:

We are seeking a dedicated Purchasing Manager to develop and implement purchasing strategies, procedures, and best practices. The ideal candidate will work closely with Managers and Project Managers to balance the flow of materials and supplies, lead effective monthly supply reviews, and identify risks and opportunities for complex proposals and Supply Chain matters. You will be responsible for coaching and mentoring team members, driving change management, evaluating vendor performance, and maintaining a monthly KPI and progress dashboard. Additionally, you will oversee inventory levels, conduct quarterly business reviews with strategic suppliers, and negotiate standard costs. A strong focus on Continuous Improvement philosophies and managing supplier risks is essential.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, Associate degree or industry certifications with commensurate experience in related field required.

  • Supervisory and management experience preferred.

  • Deep knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Critical thinking and negotiation skills.

  • Proficient planning, problem solving and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and within a team

  • Effective ERP and Microsoft excel skills.

Work Environment

This role involves working closely with various departments, including the plant, to validate material usage and control. You will participate in financial meetings and collaborate with business and purchasing teams on policies and best practices. The environment is fast-paced and requires a strong ability to manage supplier relations and ensure production runs smoothly through effective procurement
