The (Substitute) Teacher Assistant, undergeneral supervision of the Quality Improvement Supervisor and classroom instruction of the Teacher, will assistin teaching related activities which include, but are not limited to, record keeping, materialprocessing, set-up, student assistance, tutoring and other related tasks which allowsthe teacherto increase the efficiency of the instructional delivery and program.The (Substitute) Teacher Assistant will assistthe Teacher in the planning and implementation of educational activities in the classroom, consistent with Head Start performance standards; providing a learning environment which is interesting, stimulating,and developmentally appropriate thus encouraging each child to reachtheirmaximum potential. Will assist Teacher in any instructional, supervisory, or other task or need as deemed appropriate by the Teacher.
Education and Experience:
Required:
- High School diploma or GED
Preferred:
- Three (3) months Early Childhood classroom related experienceNon-Exempt under FLSAThis is on an as needed basis, there is no setschedule.$14.00 an hour.This is not a benefit eligibleposition.
