This position will support Dr. Lawrence A. Garcia. He is a cardiologist affiliated with St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center, Roslyn NY. He received his medical degree from University of Arizona College of Medicine-Tucson and has been in practice for more than 20 years. Dr. Lawrence A. Garcia has expertise in treating aneurysm, coronary artery disease, chronic high blood pressure, among other conditions. Cardiologists treat diseases of the heart and blood vessels, which are collectively known as the cardiovascular system. Common conditions treated by cardiologists include genetic heart defects, heart rhythm disorders, heart failure and coronary artery disease (narrowing of the blood vessels caused by the buildup of plaque and cholesterol). SUBSPECIALTIES Interventional Cardiology Peripheral Endovascular Interventional Cardiology Vascular Medicine Job Details Advanced Practice Provider - Interventional Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Monday to Friday Full Time day hours Our APP will assist in providing assessments, diagnosis, care and treatment of patients in an outpatient setting. The PA/NP will work collaboratively with the attending physician and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care and proper communication with family members. Please note this position will require traveling to our upcoming vascular lab located in Massapequa Requirements: PA - Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program, minimum Bachelor’s degree required NP – Current RN license and current AANP or ANCC certification PA – Will consider new grad with relevant PA electives or clinical background NP – Will consider new grad with Acute Nurse Practitioner certification (ACNP) Experience with INCAR and/or vascular patients preferred Certification: Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification (ACNP) BLS/ACLS/AED training required and accepted from only 2 organizations: American Heart Association - BLS/ACLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) Program No online programs from any organization will be accepted. DEA registration required for those with discharge responsibilities. Salary Range USD $66.55 - USD $93.81 /Hr.
