As a Senior Engineer II - Design in the Microchip Data Center Solutions group, you will get hands-on experience developing our next generation of storage and memory controller SOC products. This will involve taking products from initial concept to production form. Throughout you will work beside experienced engineers and be exposed to Microchip’s Best-In-Class engineering practices. Job responsibilities may include any of the following:
Architectural definition for IP blocks within the SOC
Requirement’s definition, design specification and micro-architecture
Digital logic design including RTL coding, synthesis, STA, DFT, and power analysis
Verification of digital logic using System Verilog and UVM
Supporting Emulation and debug of the IP and solution
Post silicon validation support and debug
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
6.5 to 8 years of relevant industry experience
Experience with Verilog/System Verilog
Experience with all aspects of the SOC/ASIC design, verification, and implementation flow
Digital logic design in Verilog or System Verilog
Experience with embedded CPUs (ARM, RISC-V, or MIPS) is an asset
Understanding of CPU, memory architectures, and embedded FW
Experience with system buses such as AXI/AHB/APB
Experience with PCIe/CXL, SAS/SATA, and NVMe protocols
Experience with FPGA emulation and SOC design and verification
Strong programming / scripting skills with languages such as TCL, Awk, C, C++, Python, and Perl
Excellent analytical, communication (written and verbal), and documentation skills
Excellent problem solving and debugging skills
