About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Rail Operations Manager

Covers jobs responsible for the inspection, maintenance, logistics and other operational activities related to the company's railcar and railcar fleet. May also use expertise to review fleet rail car maintenance programs to ensure compliance with various government regulatory, industry, and company standards, policies, and procedures.

In this role, you will:

• Manage and develop the Fleet Maintenance and Field Inspector Teams to meet objectives related to expense, service, and quality.

• Engage stakeholders and internal partners associated with the function

• Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development

• Establish performance standards, evaluate performance, train and mentor team

• Develop and assist in developing policies and procedures, training materials

• Make decisions and resolve issues regarding objectives and operations of the fleet assets in Rail Operations area to meet business objectives

• Interpret and develop policies and procedures for functions with low to moderate complexity within scope of responsibility

• Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers, and interacts with external customers

• Lead team to achieve objectives

• Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Rail Operations

• Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Rail Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

• 2+ years of leadership experience

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree or Higher

• Familiarity with Railcar Repair Procedures

• Familiarity with AAR and FRA Rules and Regulations

• Familiarity with Reviewing and Understanding Contracts

Rosemont, IL- 122,200.00 - 217,200.00 USD Annual

Salary range is determined by location of the job. May be considered for a discretionary bonus, Restricted Share Rights, or other long-term incentive awards.
