About the Opportunity:

Life Fitness is seeking an experienced Lease Financing Manager to join the Customer Finance team.

**This is a hybrid position based out of our Global HQ in Rosemont, IL - typically M/F remote and T-Th are in-office collaboration days** #LI-Hybrid

Under the direction of the Senior Lease Manager, this role is responsible for facilitating sales of Life Fitness and all supported brands of fitness equipment for the direct sales force through providing financing solutions for the customer, while providing outstanding customer service and performing accurate and reliable credit reviews and underwriting.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Interfaces heavily with potential customers, to provide financial solutions for their equipment needs. Solicit financing for potential customers, and coordinate with the direct sales force to maximize sales potential.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to the external and internal customers alike. Following up continuously with both, to ensure that all the customer needs are met and communication is at a high level.
  • Establish sales/financing relationships with the customers to increase the likelihood of future sales and financing opportunities. Demonstrating to the customers that you are providing them financial solutions.
  • Continuously follow up with all the Sales Representatives in your territory and provide them with outstanding customer service and communication. Train new Sales Representatives as needed. Participate on regular weekly regional sales calls to update the sales staff on new developments and offers in lease financing.
  • Updates sales staff and other interested parties on lease transaction status, additional requirements and lease terms as needed.
  • Provide financing quotes as requested by sales and customers. These quotes should be tracked by channel and followed up on to determine if financing was provided, and if not, why it did not result in a lease.
  • Recommend financial solutions to meet the needs of the customer and exceed the offers of our competitors (if reasonable). Provide recommendations for lease specials as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with multiple finance vendors that can be leveraged to provide all the financial solutions that our customer needs. Follow up with these vendors so that the relationship is in good standing.
  • Obtains necessary information from customers to perform credit review and underwriting. Analyze the data accurately to provide the best financial recommendation based upon the risk factors, while using the most reasonable date that can be obtained from the customer and validating the key items as is reasonable. Express the conclusion in a well-documented, thought out and thorough analysis and memo document.
  • Structuring the best possible lease/financing terms in relation to the customer risk profile and assets available. Obtaining all appropriate approval per the Delegation of Authority Policy, and ensuring that all documentation is accurate.
  • Assist with completing and reviewing credit reviews for the Customer Finance department under net terms. Obtain the detailed financial statements and complete the credit template providing insight and comments on profitability, liquidity, cash flow and debt/leverage. Review analysis completed by the Credit Analysts and provide feedback on areas of improvement.
  • Assist with reviewing INTL Lease Credit Reviews from subsidiaries to qualify if the analysis is correct and appropriat . Confirm the credit analysis is correct and the templates are being utilized correctly to yield the best conclusion. Recommend underwriting terms given the credit analysis of the lease customer. Provide feedback to the Finance Manager and Credit Analysts of areas of improvement that they need to be aware of.
  • Assists with portfolio collections partnering with our financing vendor. Ensure that the most delinquent accounts are being collected appropriately and maximize the paydown on the lease balances while ensuring the best outcome as possible for the lease exposure.
  • Follow up on all defaulted leases and provide recommendation and follow up to maximize return, either through collections, assignment or litigation. Take the lead on the workout communicating with leadership and accounting throughout the process to maximize return. Make recommended adjustments to future credit work as appropriate and share experiences with the leasing team.
  • Travels to customer locations, trade shows and events to provide leasing services to potential customers as required.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience:

  • Five (5) + years lease experience required. Leasing Sales or Fitness Industry Sales Experience a plus. Computer literacy required (Excel, Word, TValue)
