Become a Continuous Improvement Data Quality Advisor, at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll be responsible for implementing standard data quality processes/standards, common data root cause process, engaging with major initiatives that have a significant data impact. You will work with a variety of stakeholders such as Business Process and Data Governance experts, Data Engineering/Information Architects, Major programs/Initiatives Stakeholders and a variety of other SMEs from Risk and Compliance.

A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

  • Develop and implement innovative approaches and tools to increase awareness and adherence to enterprise information governance standards.

  • Support implementation of targeted technical and/or process-based Enterprise Information Governance (EIG) solutions designed to mitigate risks Company’s data and information mismanagement.

  • Support in the design and development of company-wide training to encompass broad IG and data standards in an easy to understand manner.

  • Collaborate with SMEs from business to implement process/technology for standardizing intake, root cause of data issues.

  • Identify root cause trends impacting data quality and develop insightful reports to educate all important stakeholders.

  • Provide feedback to the various Information Governance standards, Data Engineering and Data Science SMEs implementing remedial measures.

  • Act as an Enterprise Information Governance point of contact with major programs/initiatives.

  • Drive adoption of EIG/data standards across SCE, including plans for upskilling and communicating changes.

The essentials

  • 7 or more years of experience in quality, continuous improvement, data and/or standards implementation.

  • Experience using Agile or Lean Six Sigma or related process improvement methodologies.

  • Experience interacting with a variety of technical or non-technical stakeholders.

The preferred

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data or library sciences or equivalent.

  • Certifications in Project Management or Quality or Data Governance

You should know

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
