ADP is hiring a Principle Application Security Architect with Generative AI experience

POSITION SUMMARY

In this role, you will work alongside with passionate IT security practitioners and product development teams to enforce and deploy best application security architecture practices. You will join the Product Security team within ADP’s Global Security Organization (GSO) that has a key role to drive the business forward with strategic capabilities to enable secure development and support of products, solutions, and services for use across the ADP ecosystem. The application security architects within the team have strong application security skills to provide guidance in proper security controls to ADP applications. You will conduct security architecture reviews and design reviews of ADP products or vendor solution integration including Generative AI technology. You have experience explaining the prioritization of the security controls to be integrated as part of our Secure by Design model that internal teams will understand. As the architect partners with all R&D teams at ADP, you will communicate to, motivate, and influence cross functional teams. Your daily activities will require you to lead team members to deliver application security architecture services.

To thrive in this role, you'll need to have experience in considering security principles applicable to Generative AI. You’ll also need a solid understanding in secure coding practices, secure software development lifecycle and DevSecOps principles, and a solid understanding of technologies, including APIs, distributed systems design including cloud environments like AWS and Azure. You strive to learn new security frameworks and new technologies and find ways to incorporate what you learn into your consulting activities.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Here's what you can expect on a typical day:

• Generative AI Security you will partner with product development teams that are embedding Generative AI technologies in ADP products to help in identifying threats and security gaps and to ensure proper guardrails are implemented.

• General Security Architecture Consultation: You will provide consulting services to various organizations on existing or new application architectures to ensure compliance with security standards and the application of secure design patterns and software development best practice.

• Influence over Developers and Architects . Influence security champions, engineers, and other technologists to adopt secure functionality and strengthen security maturity. You will communicate with them giving them confidence you understand their challenges. Provide them with support on challenging issues and hold them accountable.

• Controls Prioritization . You will prioritize technical controls based on risk-based criticality. Ensure that solution architects are focused on most critical standards and controls. Work with R&D at global scale to implement the most critical controls, and to identify and quickly remediate the most critical vulnerabilities.

• Security Technology. You'll be involved in strategic projects to deliver global security solutions to enforce web applications and APIs security posture, and to enforce secure development lifecycle principles (Shift-Left, Security by Design).

• Continuous Learning . An eagerness to learn will help you keep up with ever-changing technologies and threat landscape and maintain the ability to assess new technologies and new developed products. You are comfortable and thrive in an autonomous role since that will be essential for your success.

• Policies and Standards . You will collaborate in maintaining and enhancing the application security policies, standards, and security best practices.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

• You have 10+ years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role.

• You have experience in addressing security challenges related to Generative AI.

• You have experience in team management focusing on team members skills and strengths to deliver expected services or project deliverables.

• You have experience in performing security design and application architecture reviews based on risk assessment and threat modeling (STRIDE-LM) in enterprise class organization.

• You have expertise in application development across multiple languages and platforms, including APIs, hybrid cloud environments and containers, to be able to provide secure design patterns and secure coding advice.

• You have expertise is Secure Software Development Life Cycle and DevSecOps methodologies and tooling.

• You possess significant knowledge of regulations as GDPR and HIPAA, and industry standards as NIST Secure Software Development Framework (SSDF) and OWASP Projects (Top 10s, Software Assurance Maturity Model, Application Security Verification Standard) to ensure that applications meet compliance requirements.

• You experience with vulnerability scanning tools, penetration testing methodologies, and interpreting the results to identify weaknesses in applications.

• You possess knowledge of security technologies as Identity and Access Management solutions, Secrets management systems.

• You experience in project management (project plan, gant, deliverables management, reporting), technical planning, design requirements, vendor evaluations and selection.

• You must be able to function in a dynamic environment subject to impromptu changes in schedules and priorities.

• You demonstrate well-developed organizational, written communication, and analytical skills.

• CISSP and other security certifications preferred
