The position is located in the Buildings and Grounds section of the Rosebud IHS Hospital located in Rosebud, South Dakota. Responsibilities Removes old or chipped paint, enamel, lacquer or varnish, and wax, rust, or dirt from surfaces by sanding, scraping, and/or use of removal solvents. Constructs additions and makes repairs to buildings not involved in extensive alterations or changes to the original framing of the structure. Removes, cleans, replaces, packs, and seals defective parts of utility, supply and disposal systems such as dirty traps, sections of broken tile, pipe and leaky drains, etc. Mows lawns using hand and/or self-propelled lawn mowers. Shovels snow from steps, sidewalks and driveways. Qualifications To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Work is sometimes performed on ladders and/or scaffolds, which requires employee to work overhead or in stretched, cramped or awkward positions. Work is performed inside and outside in all kinds of weather and is usually dirty, dusty, and greasy. Incumbent may perform work where bad smelling fumes are present. Incumbent has frequent exposure to broken bones. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. Education There are no education requirements.
