Description We are in the quest for a Controller to become a part of our team located in Roosevelt, Utah. The Controller will play a crucial role in overseeing daily accounting functions and managing various departments, including accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. This role is pivotal in communicating regularly with the CFO, coordinating and preparing financial statements, and guiding the organization’s financial decisions.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the organization's daily accounting functions and ensure their smooth operation.
• Manage various departments including accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Regularly communicate with the CFO and provide necessary updates and reports.
• Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements.
• Manage the budget and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Analyze financial data for trends, cost savings, and efficiencies.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators and financial performance metrics.
• Oversee regulatory reporting, which may include tax planning and compliance.
• Work with the executive team to guide the organization’s financial decisions.
• Coordinate activities of external auditors to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Assess current accounting operations, offer recommendations for improvement, and implement new processes.
• Hire, train, and retain skilled accounting staff to ensure departmental efficiency and productivity. Requirements • Must have proficiency in 3M
• Knowledge of Accounting Software Systems is required
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is essential
• Must be proficient in using CRM
• Experience with Crystal Reports is necessary
• Knowledge of Accounting Functions
• Must have experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential
• Prior experience in Auditing is required
• Must understand Budget Processes
• Knowledge of Ground Leases
• Experience in handling Assets Under Management (AUM)
• Proficiency in managing Fixed Assets
• Knowledge of Fixed Asset Accounting is required
• Understanding of Fixed Asset Depreciation is necessary
• Familiarity with Fixed Asset Inventory
• Must have experience with Fixed Asset Ledger
• Experience with Fixed Asset Additions is necessary
• Ability to Maintain Fixed Asset
• Knowledge of Budgeting - Forecasting is required
• Experience with Financial Forecast is necessary
• Proficiency in KPI Reporting
• Must be able to Draft Audit Reports
