Job Title: Production Worker/Machine OperatorDepartment: ProductionReports To: Building 1 Group LeaderPosition Summary: Metal shop Fabrication in a fast paced, high volume environment. Our mission is to create state-of-the-art laboratory environments by providing innovative products and solutions tailored to support emerging and changing scientific processes and technology.Minimum Background, Experience, and Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent.2-5 years of metal fabrication experience.Strong desire to learn on the jobAbility to read blueprints and understand assembly drawings and bill of materialsAble to read and write English well and use a computer.Deadline driven and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentAble to read a tape measure and operate simple power and manual hand tools.Reliable, good work ethic, high integrity.Tasks / Responsibilities:Receive production orders from Group Leader and complete work orders based on instructions provided by the supervisor and on work orders.Operate Saws, Shears, Drill Presses, Spot Welders, Metal Panel Bending Machines, Hardware Insertion MachinesLearn to operate more complex automated metal fabrication machinery.Forklift experience is a plus.Aid in the movement of component parts / materials to the production area, and of finished parts to next operation.Read blueprints and bill of materials to ensure proper parts are being produced.Scan into and out of work orders correctly and record accurate count of welded assemblies.Aid in other departments as needed by supervisor.EEO STATEMENT:Lab Crafters, Inc. is an equal employment opportunity employer.
