As a Staff Training Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in equipping our Community Services associates with the knowledge and skills they need to provide exceptional support. You'll be responsible for designing and delivering comprehensive orientation programs, coordinating ongoing training initiatives, and ensuring consistency across our training efforts. Your expertise will directly contribute to the growth and development of our staff, ultimately enhancing the quality of care we provide to the individuals we serve.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and conduct comprehensive orientation training for newly hired Community Services associates, covering crucial topics such as Abuse & Neglect, CS Procedures, Missouri Quality Outcomes, Positive Behavior Supports, CS Forms, and Therap
Coordinate and deliver initial training for Direct Support Staff, Primary Support Staff, and Program Coordinators, ensuring compliance with respective training checklists
Provide CPR & First Aid training as needed, maintaining certification as an instructor
Develop and implement specialized training programs as identified by leadership
Create and execute a 30-day On-the-Job Training follow-up process for new associates
Research and recommend supplemental training opportunities using Relias to enhance associate skill sets
Collaborate with local leadership to develop Tiered Supports training programs
Work closely with CS leadership and other CS Training Coordinators across the state to ensure consistency in training and develop new programs as needed
Utilize remote technology, such as Google Meets, to facilitate training sessions
Travel to different locations within Missouri to conduct in-person training sessions
Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a Human Services field or equivalent experience
Five years of experience in the field of intellectual/developmental disabilities or training in Missouri Quality Outcomes
Knowledge of the Missouri Department of Mental Health regulations and practices
Required License/Certification (one of the following):
CPR/FA/AED Training Instructor certificate (required)
Tiered Supports training instructor certification (preferred)
Additional Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age
Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation required
Ability to pass a background check, including criminal record, driving record, and abuse/neglect screening
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Proficiency in using technology for training purposes
Physical ability to perform CPR and First Aid as instructed in the respective manuals
Capability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
