Leadership Opportunity: Technician Supervisor at VCA Animal Care Center of Sonoma County

Are you ready to take the next step in your veterinary career and lead a team of dedicated professionals? VCA Animal Care Center of Sonoma County is seeking an experienced Technician Supervisor to join our leadership team in our state-of-the-art, 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital .

About Our Facility:

• 40+ years serving the Sonoma County community near Santa Rosa

• Advanced diagnostic and therapeutic equipment including MRI, CT, Digital Radiography, Ultrasound, Endoscopy, and Fluoroscopy

• Specialized services in Surgery, Neurology, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, and Emergency and Critical Care

Leadership Role Overview: As Technician Supervisor, you will:

• Oversee and mentor a team of veterinary technicians

• Ensure high-quality patient care and client satisfaction

• Collaborate with veterinarians and hospital leadership to maintain operational excellence

• Drive continuous improvement in technical skills and protocols

• Foster a positive, supportive work environment that promotes professional growth

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage technician scheduling, including weekends and holidays

• Coordinate with other supervisors to optimize patient care

• Oversee technical procedures, including radiography, venipuncture, and emergency response

• Implement and maintain quality control measures for technical services

• Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members

Qualifications:

• Registered Veterinary Technicia n (preferred or working towards)

• 3+ years of veterinary experience , with demonstrated leadership skills

• Strong organizational and communication abilities

• Proficiency in veterinary software and technical equipment

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift up to 40 pounds

• Competitive salary range: $34 to 37 per hour , based on experience and credentials
