Job Overview

As the Molding Machine Operator joining our manufacturing team, the ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining SMC molding machinery used to produce high-quality composite parts. This role requires precision and attention to detail to ensure that the final products meet our strict quality standards and customer specifications.

A Day In The Life

  • Operate SMC molding machines to fabricate composite parts as per production schedules and specifications.

  • Set up machines and equipment for operation by adjusting tools and controls.

  • Monitor the production process and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality and production efficiency.

  • Inspect finished products for defects and conformity to specifications, using precision measuring instruments as necessary.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic machine malfunctions, performing minor repairs and maintenance as required.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company policies and safety regulations.

  • Record production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, or quality control measures.

  • Coordinate with other team members and departments to optimize production processes.

  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

  • Other duties as assigned to support departments.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Proven experience as an SMC molding machine operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong understanding of SMC molding techniques and machinery.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.

  • Good mathematical and measurement skills to ensure precise adjustments and measurements.

  • Physical strength to lift up to 35 pounds.

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

  • Basic troubleshooting skills and familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment.
