Job Overview
As the Molding Machine Operator joining our manufacturing team, the ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining SMC molding machinery used to produce high-quality composite parts. This role requires precision and attention to detail to ensure that the final products meet our strict quality standards and customer specifications.
A Day In The Life
Operate SMC molding machines to fabricate composite parts as per production schedules and specifications.
Set up machines and equipment for operation by adjusting tools and controls.
Monitor the production process and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
Inspect finished products for defects and conformity to specifications, using precision measuring instruments as necessary.
Troubleshoot and resolve basic machine malfunctions, performing minor repairs and maintenance as required.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company policies and safety regulations.
Record production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, or quality control measures.
Coordinate with other team members and departments to optimize production processes.
Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Other duties as assigned to support departments.
What will help you thrive in this role?
Proven experience as an SMC molding machine operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of SMC molding techniques and machinery.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
Good mathematical and measurement skills to ensure precise adjustments and measurements.
Physical strength to lift up to 35 pounds.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Basic troubleshooting skills and familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment.
