salary: $16 - $18 per hour

work hours: 7 AM - 4 PM

Responsibilities

you'll be using handheld grinding or vibrating equipment to remove slag and splatter from welds to customer specifications on welded piece parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies. Primary Duties And Responsibilities Of a Grinder • Follow and comply with all company policies and procedures. • Using information form blueprints, travelers, and work instructions determines customer requirements regarding finish. • Uses various grinding and vibrating equipment to deburr, removes excess welds and slag, remove surface defects and smooth surfaces of product. • Fills out all required production paperwork and records. • Maintains work area in clean and safe condition. • Performs other duties as assigned.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment

• wearing steel toe shoes

• working in a non-temperature controlled environment

• manual lifting up to 50lbs

• standing for 8 hours at one time

• working up to 3 hrs of overtime per week
