Step into Your New Role Kleinfelder is currently seeking an experienced Construction Inspector for roadway and utility projects in our Hartford, CT (Rocky Hill) office.
Responsibilities of this position include: * Monitor the construction of roadways and utilities to ensure compliance with contract documents. * Interact professionally and cooperatively with the Owner, Contractor and Kleinfelder's design team to expeditiously address construction challenges. * Lead on-site construction progress meetings attended by the Owner, Contractor and regulatory agency representatives. * Prepare daily reports of construction progress. * Participate in the review of contractor submittals and Requests for Information. * Review contractor's monthly payment requests. * Review and evaluate potential change orders and negotiate change order cost proposals. * Coordinate facility testing and startup activities. * Evaluate substantial and final completion. * Live near or be willing to travel to our Hartford, CT (Rocky Hill) office and surrounding clients
