Here’s your chance to join our award-winning agency, ICF Next. We’re changemakers, a community of mission driven creatives, communicators, strategists, and technologists. We are seeking an experienced, motivated Copy Writer/Editor , you will: 

• Write copy for a wide range of media, including social, web, print, radio, and video.

• Support a high-profile public awareness campaign tackling one of the most pressing issues

• Think strategically while developing ideas and concepts for projects and campaigns.

• Work until it’s good. We support and encourage work/life balance, but at the end of the day we have to deliver a remarkable product.

• Multitask. We’re a big studio, lots of people, lots of projects. You will have to know when to dive deep into the work and when to surface for everything else.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required.

• Minimum of four years of related corporate communications, public relations, or journalism background.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

• U.S. Citizenship required (required by federal government for the position)

Professional Skills:

• Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills  

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail  

• Responsive and open to feedback  

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities  

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

• Superior interpersonal skills including courtesy, professionalism, and a cooperative attitude  

• Experience working successfully in a team environment  

• Experience supporting a government or federal agency  

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Working knowledge of Section 508 requirements

• Ability to follow branding and style guidelines

Job Location: Washington, DC metro area. Role will be required to meet with client on-site in DC, as requested.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$59,837.00 - $101,722.00
