We are seeking a polished, proactive, and professional Firmware Engineer to support the Firmware Department. In this role, you will be the engineer with strong embedded system knowledge and firmware development experience who can apply his/her expertise in embedded system's firmware design, development, and support for our next generation control systems in a firm that cultivates a close-knit and collaborative corporate culture.

This position is located in Rockleigh, NJ
Daily activities will include the full life-cycle of design, develop, modify, test, debug, and support the new, as well as the existing firmware for all our Digital Media products.
work on drivers for the next generation video chips
Work closely with Hardware and Software design engineers to solve cross-functional design issues.
Work with technical support to resolve problems in the field with existing product's firmware.
Provide technical documentation (test procedures, design specifications, etc.).
A minimum of a Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering is required
A minimum of 10 years of proven experience developing and debugging embedded software
A minimum of at least 2 years’ experience as a team lead or technical expert
Must have strong C, & C++ skills.
Experience with Low Level Device driver
Experience with a Real Time Operating System (RTOS)
Experience debugging embedded systems where step debugging may not be available.
Experience with communication networks and protocols (e.g. USB, Ethernet, TCP/IP, etc.) are also beneficial.
Experience with analog and digital video is also beneficial
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize competing projects and deliver with confidence in a fast-paced environment
Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational sense
Motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Strong computer skills
