Health First Senior IT Auditor - Internal Audit in Rockledge, Florida
POSITION SUMMARY
Plans the scope and objectives of audits of Information Systems and Technology. Independently performs advanced, complex audit reviews to ensure protection of Health First assets, evaluate the adequacy of information systems/technology controls, and assess compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Possesses strong data analytics, critical thinking, and communication skills. Prepares and presents written and oral reports summarizing audit work, issues identified, and recommendations to management.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Plans, develops, and recommends objectives and audit steps to be used in auditing information systems and technology processes.
- Assess internal controls and processes in the areas of IT governance, systems under development, IT project management, IT service management, IT infrastructure and networking, information security and privacy.
- Completes all audit steps necessary to ensure the adequacy of controls for the area audited. Uses audit techniques to prevent, investigate, and detect, where possible, alleged, and actual theft and/or fraud.
- Investigates and recommends action to be taken when control, operational weaknesses, and/or compliance issues are found.
- Determines that business records, both automated and manual, are complete, adequate, reliable, and accurately reflect the transactions of the organization.
- Prepares clear, concise written reports pertaining to issues identified and makes reasonable recommendations. Presents audit findings/recommendations to appropriate managers
- Promote and support the role and objectives of the Internal Audit department at all levels of the organization.
- Provides input to the annual audit plan focusing on information technology risks.
- Follows department processes to validate audit recommendations timely and effectively implemented.
- Maintains open and frequent communication with manager, co-workers, and auditees.
- Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
- Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
MUST LIVE IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business, Data Science, or related field.
- Work Experience: Five years of relevant full time Information Technology Audit, Information Technology/Information Security including experience with evaluating risk and controls.
- Licensure: Not applicable
- Certification: At least one of the following certifications: o Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) o or Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) o or commit to attaining within two years of employment.
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: o Working knowledge of Active Directory, ERP systems and Operating systems. o Familiarity with NIST, COBIT and other IT frameworks. o Excellent written/oral communication, interpersonal and computer/data analytic skills. o Works effectively in a team environment. o Advanced Microsoft Office skills. o Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision. o Strong critical thinking and analytical skills needed to identify key controls, business process improvements, evaluate alternatives and develop effective audit recommendations.
*PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS *
- Work Experience: Information technology Audit background, Healthcare Industry experience, experience in a wide variety of IT audit topics
- Certification: Two or more of the following: o Certified Information System Auditor ( CISA), o Certified Information Systems Security Professional ( CISSP), o Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Highly skilled at data analytics.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Majority of time involves sitting or standing; occasional walking, bending, stooping.
- Long periods of computer time or at workstation.
- Light work that may include lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds with or without assistance.
- May be exposed to inside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting and/or low to moderate noise.
- Communicating with others to exchange information.
- Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks.
- Workspace may vary from open to confined; on site or remote.
- May require travel to various facilities within and beyond county perimeter; may require use of personal vehicle.
