Develop and maintain a system to assure that all products accrued by suppliers and supplied to customers meet AAR specifications to achieve superior quality.


  • Development and implementation of effective quality program(s) for all DS&L business.

  • Maintenance of adequate command media to support all DS&L business goals.

  • Maintaining a current and thorough working knowledge of quality systems and state-of-the-art quality techniques as defined by the American Society for Quality (ASQ), ISO Standards, Defense/Federal Acquisition Regulations (DAR/FAR), and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

  • Ensuring that adequate quality resources are applied to DS&L programs to ensure compliance with all regulatory, contractual, and company requirements.

  • Interfacing at all levels with customer and government representatives as necessary.

  • Suggests and debates alternative methods and procedures in solving problems and meeting changing market opportunities.

  • Cooperates with top management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures, and goals.

  • Conducts management meetings with product assurance program department heads to establish, delineate, and review program organizational policies, to coordinate functions and operations between departments, and to establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining objective

  • All other duties as assigned.


  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; or eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • A&P required

  • IA desired

  • FAA Designee desired

  • ASQ certification desired [CQA, CQM, CQE, CQT, SSBB]

  • Minimum 10 years Government Programs Experience

  • Experience with Quality Improvement techniques desired
