Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Contract Administrator II based in Rockford, IL. This role involves working independently in the contract administration and negotiation space. The position is remote and requires extensive experience in dealing with government FAR 12 and FAR 15 contracts.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately draft, interpret, and manage large multifaceted proposals and contracts, ensuring compliance with business objectives and regulations. • Conduct assessments, interpret, and review documents to make sure that contracts are negotiated within agreed-upon parameters, including government procurement and cost control guidelines. • Oversee the compliance of contractual obligations and provide guidance on warranty and contract administration. • Act as the organization's legal representative on contract matters and provide advice. • Collaborate with internal functional groups to support contract negotiations with customers and execute contract agreements promptly. • Prepare legal documentation and reports for internal functional group review and approval. • Participate in meetings to discuss contractual requirements with all relevant business units/functional groups. • Manage the interface between the organization and external customers and assist in resolving any matters affecting contract administration. • Prepare recurring contract status/progress reports for internal use or for submission to external customers. • Handle small projects, including CORE initiatives. Requirements • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Strong customer service skills

• Ability to provide workstation support

• Experience in training and compliance

• Expertise in reviewing and negotiating contracts

• Familiar with regulations and government contracts

• Ability to handle financial notes

• Experience with purchase orders and executing agreements

• Experience working with suppliers and preparing reports

• Ability to ensure compliance and handle settlements

• Knowledge of specifications and legal documentation

• MBA degree is required

• Experience in contract administration

• Ability to provide quotations and work with external customers

• Experience with business unit management.
