Mechanical Power Conversion has an exciting opportunity for a driven and ambitious future leader. Mechanical Power Conversion (MPC) is growing due to high customer demand and needs a Structural Dynamics Engineer. Our dynamics engineers provide design, analysis, testing, and verification / validation support of gas turbine engine mechanical power conversion systems, including gearboxes, pumps, starters, and blowers. MPC is on the lookout for an ambitious candidate who is a superb communicator with strong technical skills and who wants to make an impact on the aerospace industry.

This position is for a summer/fall co-op and is full-time, Monday-Friday, and will run May/June-December; it is only eligible for current students with a graduation date past August 2025.

What You Will Do:

• You will execute structural dynamics and rotordynamics analyses for industry leading pumps, gearboxes, and turbine products

• You will assist in defining the parameters of dynamics test programs including fixture design and instrumentation selection.

• You will conduct development and qualification test data acquisition, analysis, and reporting. Gaining hands-on experience with the installation and setup of equipment for commercial and military applications.

• You will maintain tools and equipment (instrumentation, internally developed tools, etc.) needed for dynamics support across programs.

• Highly technical role with the opportunity to support a wide variety of products.

• What You Will Learn:

• You will learn to support in the improvement of standard work.

• You will learn to work with products in various life cycle stages, including research, development, verification, qualification, production, and field investigations.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

• Active Security Clearance is preferred.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
