SUMMARY

Develop and maintain a quality system to assure that all products provided by suppliers meet AAR and end-user specifications; and are suitable for their intended use.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Support the quality assurance program to ensure conformity of purchased material and final products.

· Develop and maintain a published supplier quality index in conjunction with the supplier review board to ensure that only high quality vendors are retained.

· Maintain the facility Corrective and Preventative Action System.

· Meets with vendors, customers, quality representatives, and company personnel to discuss and resolve quality problems as required.

· Prepares for and represents the company during all related audits.

· Conducts internal audits on-site. Performs audits at other AAR facilities.

· Prepares all necessary reports as required by customers and staff personnel.

· Function as chairperson of the facility Supplier Review Board Reviews technical problems and procedures of departments and recommends solutions to problems or changes in procedures.

· Ensure that all incoming transfers and RMRs are processed properly.

· Assist Quality Control personnel in reviewing and updating department standards.

· Promote the pursuit of continuous improvement.

· Administer effective training and on the job training of Quality Control inspectors
