Responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambulatory nurse who likes to stay busy. We are looking for team focused, registered nurse to work with our hematologist/oncologists in a busy community practice in Greece. Responsibilities include support for the cancer patient by providing clinical care coordination, telephone triage, symptom management, and patient education. This is a well-established practice with strong mentorship and leadership on site. We value dependability and the ability to flex to our ever changing practice and patient needs. The interested candidate must have good communication skills, be a problem solver and autonomous in decision making, along with excellent assessment skills. Requirements: 2 years of acute care experience, oncology / hematology preferred.

Qualifications

Requires a Diploma, Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Nursing Program and an active New York State RN license in good standing. Applicants will have a minimum of 6-12 months of RN experience. This position assumes the charge nurse role, actively participates in unit/service activities, supports co-workers, and assesses unit needs.
