University of Rochester Strong Ties Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team - Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in Rochester, New York

Responsibilities

Exciting opportunity for a psychiatric nurse practitioner to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing evaluations, interventions and follow-ups in the community for persons with severe and persistent mental illness, with and without co-occurring substance use disorders. The NP will provide psychopharmacological evaluations and interventions to the 68 patients enrolled with the ACT team, as well as collaborate with inpatient, ED, and community agency providers to support patients in their treatment. On call responsibilities per team leadership. Excellent team, interpersonal, and communication skills is a must. The NP will also participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training.

Qualifications

Requires a Master's Degree in Nursing or related field and an active New York State license in good standing. Applicants will have 5 years experience as an RN with one to three years of leadership experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The Nurse Practitioner influences the quality and delivery of care in various roles including consultant, researcher, mentor, and practitioner. This role may be unit, program, or service based and is involved in continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $44.71-$67.07

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
