As a Sterile Processing Tech, your exceptional sterilization and processing abilities provide staff with the equipment they need to perform safe and successful procedures.
STATUS: Full Time
LOCATION: Rochester General Hospital
DEPARTMENT: Sterile Processing
SCHEDULE: 3p - 1130p with Rotating Weekends
ATTRIBUTES
- One (1) year of previous experience preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Required to successfully passed a nationally accredited central service exam and hold and maintain one of the following credentials:
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician credential
- Certified Sterile Processing & Distribution Technician credential
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician credential
- Strong attention detail with demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills
- Processing. Responsible for processing and supplying sterile goods and equipment to all areas within the hospital, including decontamination, cleaning, packing, sterilizing, storing and distribution
- Sterilization. Ensure appropriate supplies are used in the process of sterilizing items; collect and clean soiled equipment, machines, carts and shelves
- Distribution. Transport needed supplies, medication and equipment throughout the hospital
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: H - Heavy Work - Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires constant walking, standing or squatting.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
- CRCST - Certified Registered Central Service Technician - International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (IAHCSMM)
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
