Job Title: Sr. Specialist, Electrical Engineer – Project Manager Job Code: SAS20220804-80338 Job Location: Rochester, NY

Job Description:

This position will lead an Integrated Product Team (IPT) at the Rochester, NY facility that designs, builds, integrates, and tests, electro-optical imaging payloads. These instruments contain complex analog, power, digital, and FPGA electronics. Responsibilities include managing a cross functional technical design team with full technical, cost, & budget responsibility. Products include electronics, cables, & test equipment in the Space & Airborne Systems (SAS) Segment of L3Harris.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university

• 6+ years of relevant engineering and project leadership work experience

• Circuit design experience

• Experience leading technical cross functional teams

• Experience managing and reporting schedule, budget, and risk

  Preferred Additional Skills:

• TS/SCI clearance

• Ability to travel occasionally, <10%, to customer and vendor sites

• Strong presentation generation and delivery skills

• Supplier management and procurement experience

• Analog & digital design experience

• Ability to work with Microsoft tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio

• FPGA design experience

• Space electronics design experience

• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

• Experience managing complex Department of Defense projects

• Experience using the Earned Value Management System (EVMS)

• Experience performing risk analysis and developing risk mitigation plans

• Experience managing projects with budgets of $10M+.

• Experience managing 10+ people in technical cross functional teams
