Paychex Sr Risk Review and Assessment Analyst in Rochester, New York

Overview

Leads and provides support for initiatives within the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) spectrum. Implements risk strategies and methodologies; evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, initiatives, product, and internal controls to advise senior management on risk ratings and evaluates ratings against established policy standards. Enhances and supports applications used to document, report, and maintain GRC and risk data.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as expert in technology initiatives such as Archer GRC, SQL Server, and Power BI, while evaluating new technology for enhancements to provide detailed reviews and recommendations to the leadership team.

  • Leads the P4, Stress Testing, and/or Scenario Planning initiatives to support CPI activities and reports findings to management.

  • Coordinates and enhances the Risk Review and Assessment Program, implementing efficiencies in performing logistical planning, preparing arrangements for reviews, and conducting pre-review meetings for programs, including P4, Risk Assessments, RiskRewinds, Risk Surveys, and Scenario Planning.

  • Manages review teams’ research and arranges key data within final reports such as the P4 Gold Book. Brainstorms, facilitates, and analyzes risk mitigation recommendations identified via risk assessment sessions while providing reviewer guidance and support to create a conducive review environment.

  • Maintains appropriate documentation of developed applications and procedures to support training of other employees and ensure consistent practices.

  • Presents and represents team in internal and external meetings, seminars, trainings, and relationship-building capacities, presenting the programs and the benefits in a variety of settings to expand the program footprint.

  • Serves as a mentor to Analysts and as a backup for all team members.

  • Other duties as assigned to support the general purpose of the position’s function.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management - Required

  • 5 years of experience in risk assessment methodology or project management.

  • 2 years of experience in team leadership.

  • Proficient in English written and verbal communication skills.

  • Possesses strong technical aptitude.

  • Excellent collaboration and team building skills.

  • Develops and delivers effective presentations.

  • Ability to simultaneously handle multiple priorities.

  • Demonstrates ability to maintain confidential information.

  • Demonstrates excellent judgment and decision making skills.

  • Performs work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Demonstrates analytical skills.

Compensation

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $65,520 - $102,960. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
