Description
STATUS: Non-exempt 22.5-37.5
Hourly Rate:$18.50
This position will start at 22.5 hours a week and move to full-time 37.5 hours.

SUMMARY
Responsible for supporting and backing-up the Program Manager with operations of the Home Safe Home Program.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide home safety assessments per funding contracts; identify modifications needed and install equipment as needed.
Communicate client needs back to NY Connects or referral source for follow-up.
Assist with record keeping and documentation in PeerPlace.
Assist with procurement of supplies, storage, and re-stocking the vehicle.
Assist in maintaining the program vehicle, routine maintenance, gas, tires, annual inspection, etc.
Supervise program volunteers
Attend conferences and training sessions as appropriate.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:Bachelor’s Degree preferred
EXPERIENCE:Experience with home repair and modification. Experience working with the elderly and volunteers.
Customer service experience
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
· Requires lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
· Valid driver’s license and insurance
· Working in challenging conditions both inside and outside of homes.
· Assembly skills required.
· Excellent communication skills are required.
· Ability to maintain records accurately.
· Ability to maintain composure under difficult situations.
· Ability to work in multi-cultural situations.
