CACI's Mastodon Design team in Rochester, NY is looking for a Production Manager to oversee all material demand forecasts. In this position, you will hold responsibility for directly leading all production material planning using on hand inventory analysis and direction provided to Supply Chain. This position reports to the Operations Manager. The Production Manager is expected to interface with many functions of our division, primarily Operations, Business Planning, and Supply Chain, but also including Engineering, Quality, and Management teams.

The Production Manager at this site is responsible for analyzing production demand against finished good inventory. This includes detailed analysis on raw material inventory, including open orders for all contract manufacturing commodities (electronic and mechanical), hardware, and accessories. This position creates, builds and analyzes reports for material on hand, open orders, and identifies all shortages needed to support the operations build plan across each product line.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive inventory planning decisions in support of manufacturing plan

  • Track the latest schedules and status for open order material and contract manufacturing

  • Manage and communicate purchasing demand to team of buyers and inventory staff

  • Work with Business Planning and Operations leaders to verify all demand planning

  • Provide management teams with planning analysis and status reports

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 5+ years of experience in Operations Planning, Material Planning, or related function

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with teams across the organization

  • Experience with manufacturing raw materials, preferably mix of OEMs, custom fabricated, and electronic subassemblies

  • Experience with Purchase Order processing, Inventory Management, and Sales Order Processing

  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized

  • Ability to systematically multitask and manage large volumes of data

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel

  • Must be a US Citizen

Additional Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently or with other departments to support all stakeholders

  • Experience with configuration management principles and systems

  • Experience or familiarity with on-site custom manufacturing and off-site contract manufacturing

  • US citizenship is required to be eligible for security clearance

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$68,400-$143,700
