Monroe Ambulanceis seeking a Full-time Paramedic Supervisor (Lieutenant). Work with the Leadership Team to ensure that all field personnel, vehicles, and equipment operate in an efficient and effective manner. Educate, comply, and enforce company policies and procedures. Make managerial decisions affecting the positive outcome of the company’s expanding operations.

Monroe Ambulance offers the opportunity to work in a variety of settings – including supporting our local fire departments on 911 calls in suburban and rural settings as well as supporting our local hospitals by providing basic life support to specialty care level interfacility transfers.

Monroe Ambulance is the regional leader in supplying event standby services to multiple venues across the greater Rochester area. As a Lieutenant you would have responsibility to ensure that the proper crews and equipment on site for each event.

About the Opportunity

  • Starting rate of pay : $30.00 per hour varies based on experience.

  • Must have NYS Paramedic certification.

  • We offer 12-hour shifts. Rotating schedules of 2 days on 2 days off

Essential Job Functions

  • Adjusting personnel, rig and equipment assignments based upon the immediate needs of the shift.

  • Investigating incidences of extended drop times and informing Operations / Dispatch of avoidable contributing factors.

  • Obtaining and securing appropriate incident reports for any adverse event during the course of a shift.

  • In the absence of or concurrently with the on-duty Captain, acting as a point of contact for customers and road employees to initiate Operational or Management involvement.

  • Covering the Captains shifts as assigned.

  • Maintaining constant communication and an open working relationship with all management and supervisory staff to facilitate the safe and efficient operations of the EMS division.

Requirements

Requirements

  • Two years full time employment as a paramedic in a 911 and Medical Transportation setting

  • Field Training Officer experience preferred.

  • Supervisory experience preferred.

  • Must be a certified as a New York State Paramedic

  • Familiarity with all regional, state, and federal regulations and laws regarding the provision of prehospital emergency care.

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.

  • NIMS 100, 200, 700 & 800

  • ICS 300 within first year of appointment

Other Skills/Abilities

  • Associates Degree preferred.

  • Additional certifications preferred (MICP/CCEMT-P, ACLS, ITLS or PHTLS, PALS and PEPP, AHLS).

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, years of experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
