Wegmans Office Space Design Coordinator in Rochester, New York

This position provides technical and creative support on office space design or planning projects. You will be responsible for customer coordination, identifying scope, concept design, creation of documents/drawings, closeout procedures and providing guidance to team members and vendors throughout project implementation.

What will I do?

  • Direct, evaluate & advise vendors on-site throughout project

  • Drive collaboration with business partners/leaders to ensure alignment between business objectives and project deliverables; coordinate team plans and communicate progress and results with others

  • Review and diagnose problems and find potential solutions and make recommendations

  • Develop and review estimates and final budgets for project work and track cost savings before, during and after projects; review and approve POs as needed

  • Coordinate medium and large projects, including all materials, labor and equipment, ensuring projects are on time & within budget, influence project planning, prioritization and resource allocation decisions; provide incredible service on all aspects of project work (design, schedule, budget, etc.)

  • Evaluate, select, and apply standard design techniques and procedures, making minor adaptations and modifications

  • Provide expertise and optimal space planning for office renovations and relocations; create furniture layouts to meet the need of the design with inventory in mind, reusing available equipment

  • Contribute to the creation of standards of practice; provide technical review/quality checks of construction documents

  • Develop and design furniture plans and specifications including pricing from vendors; create furniture specifications and scope of work

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Architecture, or Interior Design

  • 3 or more years of experience in the field of Architecture or Interior Design

  • Knowledge of design technology, including 3D modeling, CAD, BIM, REVIT, Photoshop, and production of construction drawings

  • Knowledge of the construction documentation process

  • Knowledge of drawing package components, including plans, elevations, details, and schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of systems furniture, ergonomics, OSHA regulations

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to multi-task multiple projects

  • Knowledge of Bluebeam, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office
