Rochester Regional Health Manager, Financial Reporting in Rochester, New York

SUMMARY

The Manager of Financial Reporting is responsible for the company's financial plans and policies, its accounting practices, the maintenance of its fiscal records, and the preparation of financial reports for the two acute care institutions, Rochester General Hospital and Newark Wayne Community Hospital, within RGHS. In conjunction with the Director of Finance and the Vice President, consults with the Senior Management team, participates in establishing and implementing major goals and objectives, and serves as a resource in all aspects of accounting. Ensures that accounting activities are in accordance with established legal, regulatory, and company procedures. Assigns, directs, and appraises accounting staff. Prepares financial analyses of operations, including interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules, for the guidance of management.

ATTRIBUTES

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • 5 years of experience in operational accounting, finance, or similar field.
  • Supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for researching, developing and implementing the company's Accounting policies and procedures.
  • Oversight of the general ledger, including reconciliation reviews.
  • Performs and oversees the month end closing for the institutions.
  • Prepares and completes financial analysis of board reports, cash flow, variance explanations and management summary.
  • Prepares and reviews audit schedules, along with coordination and management of annual audit.
  • Supports and oversees day-to-day Accounting matters.
  • Able to meet numerous deadlines under tight time constraints and have excellent writing and verbal skills.
  • Ad hoc financial analysis.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

PAY RANGE: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
