Machine Operator

PeopleReady of Rochester, NY is now hiring Machine Operators! . The Certified Operator is responsible for the production of the machine or machines assigned to them daily by the Lead Operator / Shift Supervisor. They are to ensure efficient and profitable production output and ontime delivery of quality parts to the customer per documented Quality System Manual procedures and consistent with the Empire Precision Quality Policy. This includes training / mentoring existing and new employees, documentation, problem solving, and communication.

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $17 - $20 / Hour

What you'll be doing as a Machine Operator:

• Ensure operator workstation at press is properly set up.

• Package product using care to prevent contamination and / or damage.

• Count, record, and report production scrap

• Maintain press collection bins throughout shift to ensure acceptable inspection levels

• Maintain consistent machine cycle to ensure quality and productivity on operator jobs

• Communicate all quality issues or concerns to Lead Operator and Quality Assurance personnel

• Clean production area and assist in general housekeeping during the shift and at shift exchange handoff

• Assist or replace other team members as needed to ensure production schedule is maintained

• Perform other tasks per Shift Supervisor and/or management

Available shifts:

Shift timings - 2nd Shift (Evening), 3rd Shift (Night)

Job requirements:

• Ability to read, understand and perform written instructions.

• Basic math skills

• Use of Basic Measuring equipment

• Reliable transportation

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Ability to stand on feet for 8 hour shift

• Background Check Required
