Klein Steel Service Machine Operator in Rochester, New York
The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating one of the various automatic or manual machines to include, but not limited to Saws, Shear, Burn Table, Water Jet, and Laser, to produce quality parts to customer driven specifications. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, making mechanical adjustments as needed, and inspecting parts to customer specifications. The team member will be trained under the guidance of the Supervisor or safety trainer until proficient.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform precision machining operation to produce high quality parts by setting up, editing and operating designated machines. Perform basic machine maintenance.
Operate material handling equipment, including fork-trucks and overhead cranes.
Pick and pull material to load machines.
Perform first piece and periodic inspections utilizing work order, tape measure, calipers, and squares.
Correctly deburr, label, and package all products as required, and complete all required paperwork.
Maintain housekeeping and ensure work area is clean and well organized for on coming shift.
Must adhere to all safety rules and regulations. Attention to safety must be adhered to at all times.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience working with steel and/or operating forklifts and overhead cranes is preferred.
