Jordan Health is now seeking aLPN Prescription Nursewho, under the guidance of the Practice Manager, is primarily responsible for working as a member of the primary health care support team to provide quality medical aid to AJHC patients. TheLPN Prescription Nursewill adhere to standards and policies established by AJHC and perform the duties up to limits prescribed by State Licensing Regulations.

Requirements

TheLPN Prescription Nursewill ensure to:

· Complete refill request information into computer and route to appropriate physician in a timely manner.

· Oversee incontinence care orders, ensuring the prescriptions meet insurance guidelines, and fax to the appropriate vendor while maintaining patient dignity.

· Submit prior authorization request to insurance companies and obtain necessary documentation from the healthcare provider and chart to support prior authorization request and submit to insurance company.

· Cross train and then float to other departments as needed/requested by supervisor or Practice Manager.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience Required:

· Accredited LPN Program.

Licenses And Certifications Required:

· Current NYS LPN License without any negative actions and certification to administer medications.

· Current provider BLS/CPR through the American Heart Association.

· Infection Control Certificate.

Special Skills, Knowledge Required:

· Ability to use the nursing process.

· Excellent computer skills.

· Excellent customer service skills.

· Interviewing techniques (as this applies to interviewing patients/families for data gathering).

· Strong communication and inter-professional skills.

· Problem solving abilities and clinical judgement.

· Bilingual or multilingual status may be required based on needs of department/organization and will be specified at the time of interview.
