POSITION SUMMARY:

Our laboratory is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Laboratory Technician III. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with general lab maintenance and organization, as well as maintaining a mouse colony.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Maintain and organize laboratory equipment and supplies

• Perform routine laboratory procedures, including preparing reagents and solutions, maintaining laboratory notebooks, and assisting with experiments

• Maintain and monitor the health and welfare of a mouse colony, including breeding, genotyping, and record-keeping

• Assist with data analysis and interpretation

• Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment

• Attend laboratory meetings and communicate effectively with other members of the research team

• Other duties as assigned by the laboratory supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Bachelor's degree in Biology or related field

• Previous laboratory experience is preferred but not required

• Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques, including pipetting, gel electrophoresis, and PCR

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Willingness to learn new techniques and procedures

• Attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time

Pay Range

Pay Range: $ 16.49 - $ 23.08 Hourly

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
