Work You'll Do
Possesses a deep knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations, and contracting principles. Demonstrates expert proficiency in managing the most complex portions of portfolios and providing proactive and expert advice to account teams on contracts strategy. Leads and directs team of contracts professionals in all facets of Federal contract administration activities and handles complex/strategic high value contractual matters that have a direct impact on Firm revenue generation and retention. Practices independent judgment and analysis of significant issue identification and resolution. Provides advisory level contracts support to account leadership that shapes and strengthens win strategies on Federal engagements. Ability to execute strategic positioning and outreach activities aimed at federal clients and interact with client contracts personnel. Perform strategic contract negotiations and ensure completion of various contract projects. Trains account team and assigned staff to ensure efficiency and compliance. Establishes and implements team level goals and aligns operations with FCD and account level objectives. May be assigned an individual portfolio of contracts to manage. Effectively and persuasively communicate with subordinates, peers, internal leadership, and clients.
Provides leadership and guidance to a high performing group of direct reports. Responsible for assigned team's performance in all facets of contracts administration support.
Guides and coordinates proposal and award activities for assigned contracts. Ability to provide guidance to internal teams relating to all phases of the contract lifecycle.
Independently conducts reviews of complex contract actions in all phases of the contract life cycle - develops and implements tactical action plans to address risks and opportunities.
Develops skillset and knowledge to serve as a domain expert on selected areas related to federal contracts and acquisition-- Serves as the group SME for a selected acquisition/Contracting Topic.
Ability to represent Firm externally as a contracts authority and works to establish and expand imminence in the contracts profession.
Monitors assigned contracts portfolios (to include pipeline and contract performance) to identify compliance risk areas and opportunities to maximize revenue creation and retention.
Manages individual and team workload to ensure the timely and compliant accomplishment of project deadlines, provides guidance to teams on issue resolution and supports them in completing accurate client deliverables.
Ensures assigned team's accurate and timely reporting of contract data entry into various systems and monitors data updates. Resolves discrepancies related to contract documents and ensures data quality and accuracy. Responsible for compliance and accuracy of the contracts administration within assigned area of responsibility.
Collaborates with other enabling areas and proposal teams to address complex contracting and proposal challenges.
Tracks and communicates the keys issues and status of contracts portfolio relative to contract requirements.
Completes negotiations of complex and/or non-standard contracts and agreements.
Actively shares lessons learned to facilitate knowledge sharing within team and larger organization.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
The Team
The GPS Contracts Sector and Client Engagement Team has practitioners across the US and India supporting all prime contract management needs for our internal and external clients.
Required Skills:
10+ years of relevant work experience
Demonstrated experience in managing at least 2 of the following contract types (e.g. CPFF, CPIF, CPAF, FFP/LOE, T&M, FFP) and/or solicitation types (e.g. FAR Parts 8, 15, and 16)
Bachelor's Degree
Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship
Ability to travel 10-15%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve. This may include overnight travel.
Preferred skills:
Experience supporting the Federal client aligned with the team of assignment (e.g. CMS, HHS, CDCARMY, NAVY, DHS)
Advanced Degree
Direct supervisory experience of a team of 2 or moree
Strong consultative and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to Lead and work effectively work collaboratively with teams
Ability to operate in a demanding executive level environment
Willingness to actively work to build the external "brand" of Deloitte contracts
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $102,500 to $188,900.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
