The FERC Coordinator collaborates to ensure timely and accurate insurance verification, authorizations, patient responsibility identification and registrations. The FERC Coordinator will help to facilitate the revenue cycle components of the Long Term Care Admission process in a professional and knowledgeable manner.

DEPARTMENT: FERC
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday Days
RESPONSIBILITIES
INSURANCE: Verification of insurance eligibility and long term care coverage for pending Long Term Care admissions Obtains required authorizations for services in accordance with payer guidelines. Identifies patient responsibility for pending Long Term Care admissions to facilitate future collections. Provides required and completed financial information to Admissions Coordinators for communication back to complete the final offer for pending patients and/or patient family members
REGISTRATION & BILLING: Performs registration in RRH Billing System along with matching registration in Long Term Care Billing System. Works closely with billing department on insurance denials and trends. Performs other duties as assigned to improve financial performance for long term care
ATTRIBUTES
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 5 years related work experience in a healthcare setting preferred
PAY RANGE: $18.00 - $22.50
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
