Compensation Range:
$21.36 - $29.90
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities:
The Department Coordinator IV provides administrative support within a department, in addition to serving as the principal assistant to Senior Director(s), Director(s), Associate Director(s), or other leadership roles. Responsible for performing a variety of advanced, complex assignments including department accounts working with minimal direction under their own initiative and latitude for independent judgment. Provides work leadership to other support staff. This position deals with highly confidential information and must be able to work with limited supervision and exercise independent judgment.
The Program Coordinator for the Film and Media Studies (FMS) Program and the Department of English will manage all operational matters of the FMS program (academic, administrative, business, and financial). In addition, this position will allow us to consolidate responsibilities required mutually by both FMS and the English Department's mutuality owing to the fact that many faculty, courses, and students are shared in common by both.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages all FMS program financials, reports and required distribution, including, but not limited to, budgeting, capital requests, account reconciliation, expense reimbursements and all procurement and accounts payable methods.
Implements all FMS undergraduate academic administrative matters, including but not limited to: registration, class schedules, course catalog, brochures and grades reporting.
Originates and oversees all details of all FMS events, social media & website management and program communications. Manages program space and equipment inventory.
Manages research and programming expense reimbursements, supplier invoices, PCard purchases and/or approvals and all other procurement related items for the English Department (and its programs/initiatives).
Manages all research and programming accounts and their monthly account reconciliation, reports and distribution for the English Department (and its
programs/initiatives).
Manages all aspects of English department's Student Employment hiring activities and provides HR processing assistance, as needed, to Department Supervisor.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates Degree required
Bachelor's degree preferred
3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
Proficient in Microsoft Office required
Strong time-management and organizational skills required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Adept at learning new technologies to perform data entry, manage calendars, and creating reports required
CLASP Certification not required, but beneficial
