About the Role:

Are you a seasoned fire and security technician? We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our growing team as a Commercial Security & Fire Installation Technician in Rochester, NY. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' businesses through the installation, testing, and maintenance of critical fire alarm and security systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure a variety of systems, including fire alarms, access control, CCTV, intrusion, and network-based intercom systems.

  • Test and troubleshoot systems to ensure proper functionality and adherence to all codes and regulations.

  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of existing systems.

  • Train clients on the operation and use of their systems.

  • Maintain detailed records of all work performed.

  • Uphold the highest standards of safety and quality in all aspects of your work.

    Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a commercial fire and security installation technician.

  • Proficient in the low voltage installation, maintenance, and repair of CCTV, burglary, fire, access control, and intercom systems.

  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Detail-oriented and organized.

  • Certifications in fire alarm systems is a plus.

  • Uncompromising integrity and ethical standards.

  • Ability to uphold Doyle's values.

    Position Prerequisites:

  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

  • Some flexibility regarding schedule and travel between Rochester, Buffalo, and Syracuse

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Mechanical hands-on ability/experience working with hand and power.

  • OSHA 10 certification a plus

  • NICET certification a plus

    Salary : $22-$35 per hour based on experience
