As an Awake Overnight Counselor, you will play a vital role in maintaining the safety and well-being of clients in our chemical dependency community residence. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing overnight awake supervision to ensure the safety and security of clients.

  • Monitoring and assisting clients with medication management, adhering to East House medication policies and procedures.

  • Accurate documentation and maintenance of medication records.

  • Conducting audits of medication logs as directed by your immediate supervisor.

  • Regularly monitoring the environment to ensure security and safety, addressing any issues following unit procedures.

  • Responding promptly to crises and emergencies in line with East House policies and procedures.

  • Performing light housekeeping, cooking, and stocking of the kitchen as needed.

  • Providing clerical support, such as making copies and setting up files or folders, as directed.

  • Preparing and maintaining household supply inventory as instructed.

  • Completing routine facility maintenance tasks, including exterior maintenance such as clearing pathways.

  • Maintaining documentation in compliance with regulators, funders, and East House policies and procedures.

  • Conducting chart audits as directed by your supervisor.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience in a similar role preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and respond effectively to emergencies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Willingness to work overnight shifts (Friday and Saturday, 11:15 PM to 7:15 AM).

  • Familiarity with the NYS Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) regulations is a plus.

Salary Description

$15.45-$17.00
