Status: Non-exempt, 25 hours per week

Hourly Rate: $16.00 per hour

Summary

Provides essential program support to the resource team in a coverage capacity and will rotate between four center locations as needed. Flexibility is paramount in this role.

DUTIES AND Responsibilities

  1. Program operations

· Provides staff support with the overall operations of the program location assigned to

· Sets up/prep space for programs and classes, and supports members with their tasks

· Promotes/encourages participation in daily programming and may include placing reminder calls for upcoming events/programs

· Tracks meal and program participation, provides meal tickets and suggested contribution reminders at congregate meal locations

· Assists team with supporting/monitoring volunteers and A4TD trainees to ensure proper health and safety requirements

· Assist team with member registration forms and entering program units into Peerplace

· Assist team with congregate meal coverage per MCOFA policies and procedures including prepping, serving, cleaning

· prior/post meal and dishwashing

· Adheres to health and safety regulations and maintains a clean and organized environment

· Provides program suggestions in conjunction with the development of the monthly newsletter

· Assist team with coordinating Med. Motors transportation request form

· Assists team with clerical needs; answering/returning office calls, making copies, filing program sign-up sheets and shredding uploaded registration forms

· Advises team when program supplies are low and needed

· Assists team with verifying program contributions on deposit worksheet

  1. Personnel/EMPLOYEE Relations

· Maintain a spirit of cooperation, positivity and teamwork with colleagues, volunteers and trainees.

· Attends monthly team meetings

· Attends appropriate workshops and training for skill building

· Adheres to all Lifespan Policies and Procedures and participates in required agency trainings

  1. OTHER

· Performs all other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Associates degree in Human Services preferred, High School diploma or equivalent required.

EXPERIENCE:Minimum of 1-year experience working with older adults.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

· Excellent customer service skills and communication skills

· Ability to work with mature adults from various racial, social, economic and cultural backgrounds

· Ability to maintain composure under difficult situations

· Must be able to multi-task in a busy environment

· Able to stand for up to 2-hour increments and lift, carry, push and/or pull 25+ pounds

· Must have valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation as this position reports to multiple locations with 1 hour notice.

· Must be flexible, as reporting location may change

Salary/Hourly Rate
