Education / Skills

High school diploma or GED required. Associates degree in a related field is preferred. Strong math background and ability to collect and interpret data Quality assurance experience a plus The Advanced Manufacturing Technician position may serve as an umbrella over the following critical roles at Applied Image:

Photolithography Technician MACRO The MACRO technician will use various photolithography processes in a dark room environment to create and produce all standard and custom products assigned to the Macro department (Image and Barcode product lines). Technicians will also perform various finishing operations, including cutting and part mounting.

Technicians will:

Review work orders, drawings, and production methods to understand job requirements Set up, manufacture, and evaluate conformance of final products Understand and comply with the quality and productivity objectives of the department Evaluate procedures and make recommendations for improvement Photolithography Technician MICRO The MICRO technician will use various photolithography processes in a clean room environment to create and produce all standard and custom products assigned to the Micro department (Micro and Photomask product lines) using contact and direct-write processes.

Technicians will:

Review work orders, drawings, and production methods to understand job requirements Set up, manufacture, and evaluate conformance of final products Understand and comply with the quality and productivity objectives of the department Evaluate procedures and make recommendations for improvement Glass Finishing Technician The Glass Finishing technician will work with dicing saws, laser glass machining, and other tools to cut glass substrates to final size and perform additional glass finishing steps per customer-required specifications. Technicians will:

Review work orders, drawings, and production methods to understand job requirements Set up, manufacture, and evaluate conformance of final products Understand and comply with the quality and productivity objectives of the department Evaluate procedures and make recommendations for improvement Optical Assembly Technician The Optical Assembly Technician assembles and tests optical/imaged components. They will use various measurement equipment, inspection techniques, and cleaning procedures and work in a clean room environment to ensure the integrity of the final product. The successful candidate must have visual acuity and physical dexterity to work with small parts.

Quality Control Technician The QC Technician will conduct incoming, in-process, and outgoing inspection/packaging of components and final parts to ensure we have adhered to standard operating procedures and work instructions and met or exceeded the customer requirements. This can include inspection, measurement, testing, and product calibration.

Technicians will:

Review work orders, drawings, and production methods to understand job requirements Inspect, measure, and test to evaluate conformance of final products, document results Perform calibration measurements as required Understand and comply with the quality and productivity objectives of the department Evaluate procedures and make recommendations for improvement
