Robert Half Accounts Receivable Operations Specialist I (Tier II) in Rochester, New York

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Operations Specialist I (Tier II) in Rochester, New York. This position primarily involves various financial or accounting duties of moderate complexity within the financial industry. The workplace will be a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you will be required to process customer applications, maintain customer records, and resolve customer inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently processing customer credit applications.

• Maintaining precise records of customer credit.

• Responding to all inquiries via email, mail, and phone in accordance with department policy.

• Researching, reconciling, and analyzing data within the designated group to ensure financial and quality standards are met.

• Generating and providing reports to Supervisor and/or Accounting Specialist II or III for data accuracy and compliance verification.

• Participating in monthly team and department meetings for technical and self-development.

• Verifying the completeness and consistency of accounting or financial transactions to ensure adherence to controls and policies.

• Training new employees and cross-training existing employees on daily operational functions.

• Writing and reviewing department procedures to ensure they are current and accurate.

• Recommending changes to procedures if necessary. Requirements • Demonstrated expertise in Operations, Procedures, Policy, and Compliance

• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) management

• Experience with Supervising team members

• Strong Phone Presence for effective communication

• Ability to Perform Ad Hoc Financial tasks as required

• Familiarity with General Ledger operations

• Proficiency in Research Analysis, promoting data-driven decision making

• Ability to Ensure Accuracy of all financial transactions

• Understanding of Quality Standards and the ability to Ensure Quality

• Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley regulations and their application

• Experience with Subledger operations

• Familiarity with Financial System management

• Understanding of Department Policy, Procedures, and ability to contribute in Department Meetings

• Proficiency in Paychex and handling Data Feeds

• Broad knowledge and experience with various Accounting Functions.
