University of Rochester AC3 - Pulmonary Triage - Registered Nurse, Level II in Rochester, New York
Our Triage RN is a communication liaison with providers and patients. This role involves calling patients to relay or gather information, pharmacies to clarify medications, discussing patient needs with providers to coordinate care for our patients in a timely manner. We are looking for a flexible and autonomous nurse to manage a variety of needs, some of which include: in-basket management of our pulmonary patient messages, coordination with inpatient units for patient procedures, administering vaccinations, providing patient education-most commonly for inhaler use and helping support the procedure nurse staff by placing IVs, asking and documenting pre-procedure questions of the patient and overall having a working knowledge of all procedures offered to our pulmonary patients. This is a great position to highlight your strong communication skills, critical thinking, inclusivity and flexibility to offer our inpatients and outpatients the best care.
Requires a Diploma, Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Nursing Program and an active New York State RN license in good standing. Applicants will have a minimum of 6-12 months of RN experience. This position assumes the charge nurse role, actively participates in unit/service activities, supports co-workers, and assesses unit needs.

Pay Range: $ 33.00 - $ 42.90 Hourly
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
