Alkegen strives to deliver high quality products to our customer base. That’s why we’re looking for a skilled quality engineer to support our factory in Rochester NH. The right candidate will have a quality first mindset, excellent problem-solving skills and rigorous attention to detail, focusing on continually improving the quality of our products. We also want a strong communicator who will work closely with the production team.

Objectives of this role:

  • · Document quality assurance activities with internal reporting and audits.

  • · Develop procedures that ensure quality of the products.

  • · Work with the production and engineering teams to eliminate non conformances.

Responsibilities

  • · Plan, execute, and oversee inspection and testing of products to verify conformance with specifications and deliverables

  • · Investigate product complaints and reported quality issues to ensure closure in accordance with company guidelines.

  • · Develop or update company complaint and inspection procedures to ensure capture, investigation, and proper documentation

  • · Monitor production to identify and report recurring issues to management and product development teams

  • · Provide training and support to team members focusing on their role in ensuring quality products are produced

Requirements

  • · Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.

  • · Prior experience with the automotive industry within a tier 1 or tier 2 environment.

  • · Superb analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.

  • · Excellent people skills

  • preferred six sigma black belt

  • lean experience

  • preferred automotive quality experience

  • on site in Rochester

Preferred skills and qualifications

· Professional certification(s) such as Six Sigma, CQE or CQA
