FANUC America Corporation (FAC) is currently searching for a Senior Technical Specialist – Wrist Recertificationto lead the execution effort for FAC Wrist Repair, including the physical repair of wrists for both customer and FAC-owned material, and to assist with Teach Pendant repair and all other mechanical repairs for FAC and FANUC products.

This position requires robotic mechanical and electrical repair knowledge, excellent tracking and communication skills, as well as the ability to read and interpret manuals and instructions to perform repairs. Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Provide analysis, evaluation, quotes and repair for wrists and mechanical parts processed through CRG.

  • Assess, evaluate, and coordinate when wrist repairs should be sent to FANUC HQ for repair.

  • Communicate regularly with management status of wrist repairs and meet customer deadlines.

  • Monitor costs, timing of execution, and quality of work for projects in execution stage.

  • Maintain schedules for receipt, execution, and delivery of assigned projects.

  • Maintain invoicing for projects, and project status on projects assigned.

  • Manage appropriate CRG warehouses for parts required to repair.

  • Work with management, select applications (projects) that offer revenue and gross profit margin potential for FAC that fall within guidelines.

  • Communicate with appropriate support, administrative and finance personnel regarding invoices, collections and costs of goods.

  • Provide technical sales support when required.

  • Coordinate with material planning in the shipment / receipt of repairs sent to FANUC including all order creation and required documentation throughout the process.

  • Develop and grow FAC repair menu to include additional components (turbines, x-drives, balancers etc).

  • Maintain constant communication and provide consistent updates to customers for each repair.

    Ideal candidate will have the following experience/skills and education:

  • Associate degree in Robotics or a related technical field or equivalent relevant experience; Bachelor degree in Engineering preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years combined process engineering, manufacturing experience, and/or experience on FANUC robots, controls and/or applications.

  • Proven technical and mechanical experience in repair, testing, tear down and diagnosing on FANUC products.

  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, coordinate and execute multiple projects concurrently.

  • Familiarity with MS Word and Excel.
