FANUC America Corporation (FAC) is currently searching for a Senior Technical Specialist – CPQ (Configure/Price/Quote) Businessto oversee the CPQ platform support and maintenance for all FANUC products in CPQ. This position involves working with various groups within FAC to obtain the appropriate information to maintain and program CPQ – specifically segments, product development and engineering, operations, executing groups, and sales. Primary responsibilities will include:
Scheduling and leading team meetings with FAC product management and project groups to support and enhance CPQ product configuration for ease of use.
Leading new product model role out including transition plans and schedules.
Creating and maintaining test plans for new product implementation and CPQ platform updates.
Developing structured governance plans to maintain product configuration changes.
Overseeing regression testing for CPQ platform upgrades.
Coordinating with related Oracle EBS tracks as required, including After Market Sales, Finance, Projects and Manufacturing (and other areas such as Service, Planning and Logistics to a lesser degree).
Leading and being accountable for the overall success of current and future CPQ implementations.
Functioning as a lead in a larger CPQ roll-out/implementation plan which includes strategic growth and ease of use customer solutions.
Working closely with FAC Oracle IT group in implementation and programming/coding business rules.
Communicating with FAC Sales personnel to support FAC’s Authorized Integrators (ASIs), including maintain standardized quote documents and special discounts.
Communicating with multiple segments including Material Handling, Material Joining, Robodrill, and Paint to maintain and update mechanical, electrical, and software data tables.
Assuming responsibility for projects and see through to completion.
Ideal candidate will have the following experience/skills and education:
Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related degree; or equivalent relevant experience.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in application programming.
Experience with BML, JSON, REST, SOA and XML would be beneficial but are not required.
Solid understanding of FANUC products (mechanical, controller, and software), product management processes, and product configurations (product variants, bills of material, mechanical/software inclusions and exclusions, etc.).
Ability to manage many tasks simultaneously, and is able to balance priorities and maintain a high degree of responsiveness and organization.
Ability to read technical manuals and engineering drawings.
Ability to work efficiently in a team environment (courteous, helpful and able to maintain professional demeanor for both internal and external customers with excellent oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills).
Ability to proactively identify potential problems, and implement solutions that eliminate the problems.
Proficient with MS Windows (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint), advanced Excel skills for detailed analysis.
